Report: Nick Punto is a very versitile infielder who plays very solid baseball on both both offense and defense.
Strengths: Very solid defensively. Although he doesn't have a very strong arm, his quickness and range makes up for it. Improved a lot in plate patience, and can be counted on for getting on base.
Weaknesses: Lacks size and strength you expect out of a proto-type third baseman. Athough he is quick, he runs too aggressive on the bases and is injury-prone. Will not hit more than a few homeruns in a season. |
