MSZ Scouting Report
Report: Liriano is a very mature pitcher for his age, and possesses great control, much like Johan Santana. His pitches are very explosive, and likes to get ahead in the count, getting the strikeouts.
Repertoire: His fastball can reach as high as 97 mph, but usually settles in the 95 mph range. He likes to mix in his strong changeup and curveball, all with outstanding control. His changeup can clock in the lower 80's mph, making it difficult for pitchers to guess.
Weaknesses: Injuries and stamina are really the only concerns for him. He can potentially develop to be the second-best pitcher in baseball, behind Santana.
